Hlupho graduated from Edith Cowan University in Western Australia with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management). She then completed an Honours degree in Psychology before relocating to Queensland and completing a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Southern Queensland.

Hlupho has previously worked in the Acute Mental Health Unit at Toowoomba Base Hospital. She now provides assessment and therapy services to the Geriatric, Adult Rehabilitation, and Stroke Service (GARSS) at Toowoomba Base Hospital and Baillie Hendersen Hospital. She has worked within the GARSS Memory Clinic for several years providing neuropsychological assessment to aid diagnostic processes. She is leading a Vestibular Psychology therapy clinic and also conducts psychological assessment and intervention in Outpatient Rehabilitation.

Hlupho enjoys research and development, particularly the impact of social and cultural factors on health behaviours. She completed an honours thesis on the moderating role of social support in depression amongst international university students. She also completed a masters thesis on psychological barriers to uptake of pre-exposure prophylaxis in vulnerable populations.

Hlupho has a special interest in neurological and neurodegenerative disorders. She primarily works within the Cognitive Behavioural framework, providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to clients.
